TOTALLY Different Direction From Yesterday

Good afternoon everybody,

Now that yesterday’s entry got you all hot & bothered, I am not going to totally ruin the mood for you. Don’t worry, it’s a good thing in this case. Plus, it will save me from struggling through another sex-related topic without using any curse words.

That morning, a co-worker sent out this e-mail, and I think people need to see it. It was titled “You are the only bible that most people will see” and this is what it said:

My personal testimony this Tuesday morning. When you desire to be used God will use you in any way. On my way back to work this morning while driving (yes while driving) I felt the Lord leading me to worship him. So as I was worshipping him, I could sense that he was displaying me (meaning having eyes behold the anointing) so I kept on worshipping. So finally, as I pull over to a local cafe down the street from my job, I stop my truck, but I felt the Lord still desiring worship, so I continue on. Finally, once he release me I noticed a blue van that had pulled beside me, so I went into the store and gather some items and return back to my truck, but this time a lady came out of the cafe and got into her truck and I could hear the Lord saying tell her that I can heal her, so i did. And she said you know what brother I know and I am having so much trouble in my marriage with fighting, anger, and etc and I saw you praying in your truck and I said that I need to get back into church and be amongst the believers and she said that I am going back to church on this Sunday. So she says that she is coming back to church. So people are always watching you if you profess Jesus……..

I thought that was nice…It made me think about the way I act toward strangers. You never know how much of an impact the smallest gestures can have on another person. I know I probably should have waited a couple of days to post this until the previous topic has faded from folks minds…but ah well. Enjoy the rest of this beautiful day, and get your mind out the dag-gone gutter!

Of course I came here for a little nasty-nasty and I found this. ;-)
Just joking, but for real, I thought the testimony was going to be a naughty joke, about them meeting while the spouses were are church or something. HA! I REALLY need to get my mind out of the gutter.
    Holla!

    THE TRUTH! ALWAYS!

I remember one of my client’s always reminding me at the right times during my sister’s battle with cancer that Jesus loves me.

I’d be going on lunch, struggling with emotion and he’d tell me, “Jesus loves you!” And of course, I’d respond back with “He loves you too!”

I’d be leaving work for the day, struggling, and he’d tell me the same thing.

God and Jesus are ALWAYS on time!

Funny… cuz you’ve been ON TIME lately too!

    LOL @ Ms TJ

@ Tamara, I’m not crazy. Just…diverse :) In all fairness to my commenters, the head entry was written better and funnier, so I did not expect this to even come close to getting as many responses. It’s not their fault.lol

@ Diamonds, I think they like me because you never know what I’m going to talk about on here. Keeps it interesting…

@ Miss A, that’s sweet. It’s nice that your client did that for you.

@ Big_Ace, I didn’t realize just how foul my mouth is until I decided to try this…lol. It’s not as hard as I thought it would be, though.

    Thank you @ Kris

I absolutely believe in God and the power of prayer. I will pray whenever and wherever, but this person may be suffering from the early stages of Paranoid Schizophrenia. Why does God always seem to talk to Schizophrenics more than the rest of us?

Who is this and what have you done with Cool Breeze?

When i read you weren’t gonna be cussing all week…I tried to put myself to the challenge…..I didn’t make it 5 minutes after closing out your page…..I’ll try again in 6 months.

As an agnostic person I follow this line of thinking because I believe in the power of one more than anything. My only prob is what if I don’t want just the bible to get the credit.

For instance, say I’m a Muslim. I want the Qur’an to get the credit… If someone sees me praying and then goes to the wrong church have I failed? I mean, Muhammad did all the heavy lifting there. I would hate to see L. Ron Hubbard get the gold star. I’m just sayin.

In all seriousness, I am reminded about this every time I drive. Most asshole (sorry, Sinbad) drivers are that way because someone else did something to them. This seems to be the way of life. While you may not reap the benefits, or, in fact, may be inconvenienced by doing a good deed or being polite… SOMEONE somewhere benefits. So why not make the world better for it?

@ Curious, why would you say that? I have never seen any signs of mental illness in that man…lol. He’s just a devout Christian and family man.

@ Blah Blah Blah, Cool Breeze is still here :) I’ll support your efforts in 6 months if you do try to take the Sinbad Challenge.

@ Hassan, I’ve often wondered the same thing. It’s hard to believe someone like Ghandi is in Hell, only because he wasn’t praying to the right God. I know the Bible has been re-written numerous times and altered in the process. I believe that this may be one of the areas where things got changed for the benefit of the Church…Then again, I can only speculate on that one. Still, I’m glad you brought that up. That’s a whole ‘nother conversation in itself.

I said it because it sounds as if he’s hearing “voices”.
