A couple of days ago, BET announced that it has cancelled “BET Uncut” and that the last episode has already aired. For those of you out there unfamiliar with BET Uncut, it is a program that came on at 3 in the morning, airing sexually suggestive music videos that canot be shown during normal viewing hours. The majority of these videos are from lesser-known rappers attempting to make a name for themselves. Occasionally, a successful rapper will create an explicit video to be aired on the show.
I for one, am angry with BET. Granted, the videos were pretty degrading to women, and the music was pretty wack…The thing that pisses me off is the fact that BET didn’t let anyone know before up and cancelling it. I would have been TiVo-ing the hell out of that show had I known the end was near. Now I actually have to spend money and go to an actual strip club to see thonged asses shaking in front of me. No more free bootyshaking from the comforts of home.
Those executives at BET propably didn’t realize that this decision will have far-reaching effects for a lot of people. Think about all the strippers who will have to adjust their monthly income now that they no longer have this nationwide ass-shaking forum. You’re taking food out these hoes’ mouths. We all know hoes gotta eat, too.
What about the “rappers” making these videos? Think of how depressing the news must be to them. “Joker Da Bail Bondsman” and “Black Jesus” have been placed on 24 hour suicide watch, knowing that their rap careers just ended. We shall never again know “What That Thang Smell Like” nor shall we ever get to witness “Bongos and Parasucos” running damn-near naked through a cheap hotel room. If it wasn’t already over for Benzino, this marks the official end. There is nowhere left to turn.
Yes, this is the show where any random fool with a camcorder and some almost naked women can get a video played, but the most memorable video by far came from an already Platinum-selling artist. That video: Nelly’s “Tip Drill.”
Tip Drill is the Mona Lisa of booty shake videos. For starters, you have at least 50-75 different video hookers of outstanding pedigree, going wild shaking their asses and engaging in Hot Lesbian Action. It’s almost as if Luther Campbell, a.k.a. Luke, was the one responsible for this. Where else can you see a stripper shake her ass so hard that she breaks her thong? Nelly had the right idea when he slid that credit card down her ass crease, because I would have actually paid money to spend the day on that video shoot.
Now, videos like that, and the oh-so-eloquently titled “Pu**y Poppin’ On A Handstand” by Ludacris have no home. As a result there is nothing entertaining to laugh at when I come home from partying at 3AM. Damn it, BET…If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Yes. The effects are far reaching indeed. I’ve been a loyal fan of BET Uncut since it’s inception. Nelly’s Tip Drill…ahhh…that petite sweet fat bodied beauty queen with the low riding A@% was surely a sight. I shall never forget her. The girls in the jacuzzi? I could barely swallow for fear of missing some lusty girl on girl action. That is by far the best T&A video EVER MADE.

I’ve never seen this show. Never had any interest. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t see how keeping this show on TV could benefit me (and my bank account).

Uncut was more than a block of salacious programming, it was an underground phenomenon.
That shit needed to be cancelled. It looked like every video was filmed in either someone’s garage or basement. I kept waiting for somebody’s mama to walk down with a basket of clothes to get to her washer, which some chick was dancing on.
WEll…I used to watch uncut. But a few years ago the videos were getting worse n worse…and I quit watching them cus they are really displaying women as easy whores. HAve you ever seen that documentary they made on VH1 I think it was about the “video sluts” ? Yeah, its talking about the women that degrade themselves to be on rapper videos – famous or not – they are strippers that are aspiring to be the most looked at women on rap videos. One of them wrote a book and everything about the extremes she would go thru (basically how many rappers she facked and got trained by ) to get to be the top video slut.Its really funny they way these women think its pathetic! I just saw that You Tube video of the Nelly video…LORD JESUS! I question only one ass there and I could bet my life on it she had some plastic surgery done – you know? The Ass implants. If they would have zoomed on her I would have been able to tell… I wonder what that one chick did after her thong broke…lol

Luvved BET Uncut. For me it was straight comedy, in fact on some nights it aired right after the BET Comedy Shows. But the funniest part was how they put the Televangelists on right afterwards…like they knew somebody needed some religion after seeing alla that.

I am definitely hurt that BET has axed UnCut. What was their reasoning? Now there is absolutely no reason to watch that channel. None whatsoever. Now I gave up on them several years ago, but would still occasionally sneak on over there in the wee hours of the morning for a few laughs. You could always count on UnCut for unparalleled ridiculousness.
I have to agree with you. Without a doubt, you have cited the 2 best videos ever to air on the show: Nelly Tip Drill and Luda B-poppin’. (You know they can’t say “p” on TV!) To this day I still believe that one woman had a prosthetic azz glued to her back!
I am not sad that show is gone. I was nothing but a porno for everyone who was too broke to pay for an actual tape. Right on BET for attempting to clean up the filth that we have on TV now a days. Now if we can do something about those Girls Gone Wild commercials that come all night long.
Compared to what they aired in the late 90′s everything on BET is crap now.
