The Business Card That Wasn’t

As you all may or may not know, things have been going pretty well for me in 2007. The New Year is off to a great start. Professionally, things are moving in the right direction, and even my writing has become more popular. For instance, I was quoted in the Washington Post “Express” newspaper today for the second time this month. I think that tied how many times they quoted me all of last year combined.

As you also may know, I have www.ListenToLeon.net and have yet to finish moving everything from here over there. I should get it done pretty soon hopefully, but with the move comes the need to promote the new site. For my fliers/business cards/whatever creative sh*t I come up with, I need to have the right image to convey what ListenToLeon.net is all about. I thought I had created that image one day while sketching out ideas. Unfortunately, it has not gone over too well with my test audiences. Let me know what you think about my masterpiece in modern art:

Apparently, some people don’t think it’s appropriate for a business card. Ah well. Back to the drawing board.

I hate to scrap such a classy piece of artwork. I mean, look at the painstaking craftsmanship that went into the hump marks and beads of sweat flying off of the little dog. His passion and conviction to conquer the odds agains him is the stuff of legend. It harkens back to David and Goliath. Rocky and Apollo. Me and Otis(the lazy-eyed 250 pound bully I fought back in 8th grade).

And yes, the little dog was inspired by the coolest fox terrier on Earth, Andre 3000.

That Logo is definitely worth of a T-Shirt or a Coffee mug. It will offend some, but those who aren’t offended will make you rich.
