Damn

I know by now everybody has heard about what happened at Virginia Tech today. I really wanted to type something funny on the blog today, but I can’t stop thinking about how horrible that situation is out there. I feel so bad for the students there, and the parents at home worrying about their children. That has to be a really helpless feeling.

When I first heard there was a shooting there, I did make one joke. I said it was probably Michael Vick’s brother. Then, I heard about how many people died, and I immediately felt guilty, even though only a couple of people heard me say it(they laughed, by the way).

Ok…I made two jokes. I also said “They can turn down my application, but they let in that trigger-happy motherf*cker!” I said that because I’m still a little bitter at the three ACC schools that did not let me in, even if I did apply to them late. I’m me, dammit! How can you say no to me! Hampton got it right, though. Go MEAC!

Back to the topic at hand. My prayers go out to the victims, their friends and their family right now. It’s a shame that these kids went away to school to prepare them for a better life, and ended up dying at the hands of some maniac.

It really is a shame what happened to those students. The administration should have locked down the campus after the 1st shooting.

    FAMU in the house…Go MEAC!

I don’t know if a lock down would have saved any lives. It seemed as if this maniac’s intent was to kill as many people as possible. If it wasn’t class it would have been the student union, or one of the dorm rooms. It’s a tragedy none the less, and my heart goes out to all the families and victims involved.

    MEAC in the building…FAMU

As much as I enjoy your writing, Leon, your current blog was just in bad taste. Please respect the victims and their families at this time. A dear friend of mine attends Viginia Tech and THANK GOD she was not harmed. I cannot believe that the campus was not shut down after the first two shootings in the dormitory. It’s going to take a while for my friend to heal. Don’t mean to sound all sappy, I just turned to your blog for laughs only to read this. Then again, eh…you’re a shit talker who has a jones for big butt women in pleated skirts…ah well…

It has to be devastating to lose a child, but in such a manner as that, I know it’s gotta be rough on the families and friends of the victims. My prayers go out to them.

Back when I applied to VT (I started college in Fall 2000) they were pretty much accepting anyone with a GPA above 3.0 and an SAT score above 1100. I applied mad late also. Most college send you a big envelope when you get accepted but VT was so gully they sent a regular business envelope so full that it was about to bust.

They just released a photo and some info about the shooter so that should make for a good post. He looks like he acted out of sexual tension. The stripper from the Duke lacrosse incident should have provided him with her services and maybe this rampage could have been averted. Heaven knows how much asian men love black strippers.

I feel for the families! It’s sad to hear about these people trying to do something with thier lives having them taken away. After hearing more details, I am so grateful that I got away from my crazy ex-stalker alive. Leave them crazy folks alone!
