My Apologies

What’s up everybody,

I just wanted to apologize for the slight slowdown in my updates on the site. It’s been a busy week for me, and I’ve been pulled in all different directions, but I plan on putting a system in place to keep my blog productivity in place. Last year, if anyone had said to me “You haven’t written a blog entry in almost a week” I would have looked them dead in the eye and said “Kiss my ass. When people start paying me to blog, then I’ll start blogging more often.”

A lot has changed over the course of a year, though. When I won Best Humor Blog in The 2006 Black Weblog Awards, it led me to realize that a lot of people support what I do much more than I ever began to realize. More evidence of this can be found by the fact that folks read the other sites that I am involved with, like my King Magazine column, Fine Sh*terature, and my articles for The Insensitive News Syndicate(which is all-but abandoned, but will be updated soon).

Plus, I looked at my Google Adsense stats, and I now believe you all when you say that you’re actually clicking on ads. At first, I’d read the comments where people say they clicked on stuff, and I’d think to myself, “BULL MOTHERF*CKIN’ SHIT! Y’all some lyin’ motherf*ckers!”

The evidence was in the numbers though, because results are finally starting to show. It’s not enough results to emancipate myself from the Corporate American plantation, I mean “workforce”, but the small signs of growth have given me hope for the future. Since hope is there, it gives me an excuse to post the “Leon Kinte” image over here once again.

Since you all may someday help me find a way out of picking digital cotton for the man(and creating crappy photoshop art to express my struggle), the least I can do is provide content for you to laugh at before asking you to click on ads for shit that you’re probably not going to buy, or try to sell you t-shirts. By the way, new shirts and colors are coming really soon, so stay tuned. Also, keep clicking ads!

“Click the ads, so I don’t have to kick your ass.” That’s my new slogan for the rest of 2008. That, and “Vote Leon” in the 2008 Black Weblog Awards. Technically, I have to sit on that second one until August, because nominations won’tbe accepted until then. I just thought I’d put that bug in your ear nice and early so you know what to do when the time comes!

Once again, I apologize for leaving y’all hanging most of the week. I have some hilarious stuff on the way, so keep on checking out the page.
