That’s right. They love me, not Raymond. I mean, I’m posting here on a regular basis, giving you all what you need to keep you laughing and smiling. Raymond’s show isn’t even on the air anymore! What does that tell you?
If you said “Leon loves you more than Raymond” then you have it right! If you said anything else, then I’ll just ignore whatever simpleton response you did make and keep it moving right along.
The reason that I say “Everybody Loves Leon” is because I have a lot of wonderful announcements to make today. I’ll start off with the first one: I will be a panelist in the weekly Black Blogger Roundtable discussion as a part of ”News and Notes” on National Public Radio(NPR) on Wednesday, September 5th at 1:15 PM. The date might be subject to change, but right now, that’s what it’s looking like. You all know me…whether I’m in a calm, cool and collected state of mind, or whether I feel like screaming on folks like Stephen A. Smith, it will be worth checking out. Literally, LISTEN TO LEON!
Next announcement is for those who actually want to see me doing my thing, as opposed to just hearing my voice. You can catch my next performance with YAP Improv on September 23rd from 3-5 at Jammin Java Cafe in Virginia. I’ll get back to you on the address and directions, but for now, mark your calendars. The group is getting better and better each week, so I guarantee that you will enjoy the show.
The third announcement is about something that happened a few weeks ago, but made me smile. Dr. Doug Robinson of the University of Mississippi chose to quote my blog in his upcoming freshman writing textbook Writing as Drama, to be published by McGraw-Hill. Dr. Robinson chose to use my Don Imus entry as an excellent example of how to incorporate sources. Who would have ever thought that my writing would be in a textbook? Especially, an entry where I called a grown man a frizzy headed hoe?
It all just goes to show that Everybody Loves Leon! That explains why my picture is on your baby momma’s bedroom mirror. I bet Raymond can’t say that, now can he? Heh heh heh :)
