I want to take time out to thank everyone who attended what was indubitably the greatest party in the last 3 decades. Don’t even try to doubt the indubitability, because you can’t. Indubitalization has already occured, so it’s official. Utter and complete indubitance!
How many of those variations of indubitable are actual words?
Who knows…Who cares. I am feeling triumphant enough to alter the English language right about now.
The women looked fantastic. The brothers gave me free drinks, and held it down. A couple of y’all were dressed a little too sharp, though. My cousin T came in there wearing the all-black, and I had to go up to him and say “Look at this negro trying to steal my shine!” It’s all love, though. I’m glad folks had a good time and mingled.
To Mayorga Lounge, next time I say I’m bringing half the city to my party, BELIEVE ME, and get a couple more bartenders that night! I’m a half-assed celebrity. I’m infuential now, dammit!
To Vanson Promotions, thanks for all of your help. You all did a great job.
To Tajh, thanks for being the focused and organized one! Our birthday parties are becoming the stuff of legend!
To everyone who missed out, they’re’s always next year(God willing). I tried to get in touch with as many friends, family and associates as I could, but we put the party together in less than 2 weeks’ time. It was hectic, but we made it happen. I sent out a Myspace bulletin and mentioned it on here for those I missed, so if you try to call me shady, I’m going to whip out Leon Jr. jr, and slap you senseless with it. Unless you’re a dude. Then I’ll just punch you in the ribs one time and bust your chops. It’s only fitting for a man of my age to bust-chops, since that term is no longer in fashion. I have to get used to throwing out old man sayings from time to time now.

Oh yeah, let me clarify: I am NOT criticizing Mayorga Lounge, because the place was VERY nice. It just wasn’t ready for the crowd that we brought there. The bartenders worked their asses off, and the drinks were great. They were just flooded with customers!

I wrote a whole post criticizing, not you, but Mayorga. I didn’t post it today. But dammit, unless something exciting happens between now and Tuesday, I’m posting it. I’m still salty just thinking about it. Oh and you and Tahj didn’t ever get shots from me because nobody would give them to me. The staff was short when I was in there during HU’s homecoming too. It wasn’t just your party. They are habitual short staffers. Oh and my blood is boiling just thinking about the coat check. UGH!
The promoters and that ‘watress’ chick owe y’all some drinks! When y’all see those cats again, y’all should just go fistacuffs without saying a word!!!

@ Arjewtino, I didn’t make it to Wonderland with you all. After things ended at INPY’s house, I went home to rest my liver for the next day! That’s the only way i could manage both parties on consecutive nights.
Christmas Party in the works for Sat. Dec 15. Nat is co-hostess. Will have details by 2morrow or wednesday. It’s looking like a Mini-Common Share Reunion.

Your party was cool. I got to dance with the two Jerome’s. They were something else! Oh and if you kept hearing a girl saying that’s him, that’s Leon, that was my drunk blog struck self. Hey they gave me a vodka and cran in a tea glass for 6 bucks, I was 3 sheets to the wind off one drink! Anyway, great party! I didn’t open my wallet once!

I wish I had come to your party…my friends and I went to a caberet, that was quite nice, until a fight broke out over some hot wings (That’s probably not true, but hell it was my bday, so that’s what I am going with), and the party got shut down. Yes HOT WINGS, I heard they were fried then dipped in the sauce, that will start a fight any day.

Good times despite the lack of bartenders. The two party crashers were hilarious!
By the time we arrived, coat check was not taking anymore coats because they were effing up what had already been checked. The staff person would hold up a coat and ask the person who gave him the ticket “is this it?” And they would reply no. It was not pretty. Lol… Then we tried to come upstairs but it was a lil’ too tight and lil’ too warm for us to stay without soon getting the urge to sock somebody like Ms. Hostess suggested =).
Next year, we shall arrive early. Happy Belated.
