Bow Wow and Omarion Face Off

I recently saw a few promotional images for the album by Bow Wow and Omarion, titled Face Off, and I immediately thought to myself “This is almost too easy for me to write about!” It’s hard enough for two men to make an album together and NOT look gay(not that there’s anything wrong with that), but when you factor in stuff like this photo of the singer and rapper’s faces blended together, it does not help their case AT ALL.
That image disturbs me. Like how the villian Two-Face from Batman comic books would look if he gave up his life of crime to spend his nights waiting outside for the nightclubs to close so he could attempt to pick up chicks during the let-out. Yes, that photo screams out schitzophreniac parking-lot pimp.
The actual album cover is designed nicely, but even that has gay undertones.
It looks like they’re sizing each other up, getting ready to spit game.
Omarion: “You got some pretty eyes, son.”
Bow Wow: “I like that baby hair you got in the front of your cornrows. Looks real…sensual.”
Omarion: “I’m saying…You so petitie…Like a delicate flower.”
Bow Wow: “I like the way you move. You got that rhythm in your motion.”
You get the idea. I actually like some of Bow Wow’s stuff, even though he is sort of like the miniature, diminutive version of LL Cool J with all those damned relationship and love raps. Omarion’s last album was good in my opinon. Thanks to the songs Entourage and Ice Box both being in heavy rotation, I had music from that dude stuck in my head for at least 8 months or so.
These brothers need to think about investing in a PR firm to keep them from making themselves look like gentlemen lovers the next time they collaborate professionally. I was going to replace the words “FACE OFF” with “GAY WAD” on that album cover image, but it’s late, and I do not feel like playing around in Photoshop at the moment. You can use your imaginations and see that those words wouldn’t really look all that out-of-place.
Once again, I’m not hating on the two artists…But since the photos are out there, I must jone on them. It is my obligation to you all.

dawg that’s the first thing i thought when i seen their cover album… first of all, they jockin off jay-z and r-kelly wit the whole rapper/r&b singer collabo, second of all, whose gay-ass idea was it to put both they faces mashed up like that? they look alike!! cake ass… I can’t hate on that Icebox joint tho…

That’s some of the best dialogue in an urban gay romantic comedy to date! You should shop the screenplay around…I’m just sayin’…

It is a little too tangy on that album cover, all they need is some extra glossy lips and a sculpted eyebrows, oh damn, the eyebrows are on point.

ya’ll are goin oh so hard on my ex husbands. back in the day i used to love shad to DEATH until omari came out. the album cover is a little iffy but i dont think they are tryin to be like r and jay because they are no where near that level and r&b and hip hop has been comin together with collabs way before jay and r. so its not like the whole idea was totally original anyway. i hate that they would make a album cover that looks like their love child or something but i get where the whole idea came from …faceoff….two opposite people coming together…yada yada yada

you’re right leon. & they are copyin r kelly and jayz because kellz and jay did the best of both worlds which is rap and r&b collab on one CD. the boys even said that they were inspired to do this based on that. it’s just for the kids though.

For real, I hope their album goes platinum. It was smart to team up and make a record for the young girls who love both of them to death. They’re just too pretty boy-ish for their own good! But like I said, I wish them all the success in the world.

I’ve always thought Omarion was on the funny side with that baby hair thing he had going. But after that Ice Box video I started seeing him in a different light. He looked very mature and masculine in that video. After looking at this picture and watching their video again I question his manhood.
Bow Wow on the other hand will always look 12 yrs old so there’s no hope for him.
I would rather see a collab. with Chris Brown and Bow Wow. Actually I would just like to see Chris Brown. He’s 18 now so it’s ok for me to dream about him and lust after him right? *sigh* Thank heaven for little boys and their tight little bodies. I sound like a child molester!

LOL no comment. I’m a fan of both (fan not groupie) and they “Girlfriend” video wasn’t half bad (not including Omarion’s pants) but the Hay Baby video or whatever its called….um….yeah. As far as the cover they do look gay as f*ck! and the dialogue had me rolling!

It’s so wierd that i found this blog, which is hilarious by the way leon!
