I had a topic ready to go before I went to lunch…Then I feasted on a BLT sandwich, and I cannot remember it to save my life. Maybe swine is bad on short-term memory. Either way, it tastes so good, that it can be forgiven. I smwlled that sandwich, and all of a sudden, I turned into the Viking fron those Snickers commercials, yelling out “FEAST” everywhere that I went!
Since I cannot recollect my intended topic, let’s talk about a few news headlines. I don’t want to get too political, but reading about the assasination of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan was a sad and unfortunate way to start my day. The part that made me sad was that seeing the news of her killing did not suprise me at all. It just makes me glad that I was born in the US, and not in some other country with all kinds of chaos and political instability. Granted, America is far from perfect, and truth be told, this country is directly or indirectly responsible for a good amount of the chaos going on in some parts of the world…Still, I’d rather live here than just about anywhere else.
Let me break it down metaphorically: If you’re going to be someone’s prison b*tch, you’d want it to be the baddest dude on the yard, instead of some fool who has no business making you wash his drawls and braid his hair.
Maybe I could have thought of a better example, but it’s thoughts like that which keep me from ever doing anything that could land me in prison. I’m too handsome to get locked up. therefore, i must stay on the straight and narrow to preserve the sanctitiy of my butthole. I plan to die a virgin on at least one part of my body!
I was compelled to click on one of my own ads today, because it was for NBC’s The Office. The thing that got me was that the ad appeared to be for Dunder Mifflin Infinity, the company from the show. Lo and behold, it actually was a mock site for the company. I haven’t signed in to check out their messageboards and all of the features, but if time starts dragging around 3:30 pm or so, that’s probably where you’ll find me.
Big Homie over at My Hangover put up an entry today featuring the album cover and tracklist for Nas’ new album. As some of you already know, the album is titled Nigger. I think the cover looks great, and it was a clever use of Nas’ logotype. I’m still wondering about the impact of the album’s title, though. I don’t want to have to punch someone out, only to discover that they were just talking about a CD and not trying to incite a race-riot! I guess I’ll put away my inner-angry black man for awhile until I actually hear the music.
This should keep you busy for now. If i remember that topic anytime soon, I’ll go ahead and write about it.

Yea, I too was saddened about the news of Benazir Bhutto. She was an amazing woman and someone that fought for what she believed in and wasn’t scared. Craziness, I tell you.

A friend of mine went to jail for a short time this heffa came out of jail talking about how fun it was, how she would do hair for oodles of noodles and that you can make a fantastic d*ldo out of socks, tape and a condom. I wanted to punch her in the larynx for that BS but I didn’t want to go to jail b/c I can’t do hair.

i agree. there is so much craziness going on in the world but i wud rather stay my butt right here. how does america get involved in so much shit around the world but dont even take care of the problems we have here? i dont mean to get all politcal and what not but there are so many hungry people in america with no food yet our government is running across the world interferin with some civil war in a country that hates us anyway. they hate to kill the woman right? thats a shame. i wonder if that got ms clinton to thinkin…

You know, I’m sure Hillary is shook a little. She probably knew Bhutto very well, and we all know that there’s a good number of folks in America that genuinely HATE Hillary. I’d say she’d be just as worried as Barack is. But you know, that’s what the Secret Service is for. Unless some Jodie Foster stan tries to make it rain on Clinton and her entourage, she should be okay.
I feel what you’re saying with regards to taking care of home first. Unfortunately it is what it is, for now (the current Bush admin.). I mean, hopefully you didn’t vote for him in the last term, so you have every right to make complaints about it (cuz I damn sure know I do). But, u know, it’s also important to be aware of what’s going on elsewhere in the world, because that shit, lowkey, really does residual affects on us. It definitely hurts us not to have an ally in Pakistan, really it hurts us to have few allies in the Middle East period. I’m convinced Ahmadinejad is “bout it” (so madd I used that word) with these nuclear weapons.

@ caroline i asbolutely get what ur saying about allies and getting involved around the world. all that is good and understandable but they can do bad all by theirselves is what im gettin at. its good to interfere when say… theyre talkin about blowing people up with nuclear bombs and what not but its another thing when ur pissin a country off because ur trying to steal shit from them like oil…and aggressive imperialism i dont know whats goin on but if hilary or obama gets elected not wishing any bad luck on them but theyll probably be assassinated or impeached by some conspiracy.
i think that hilary is probably shaken too and secret service is great but someone who hates her enough would be able to make it rain on her and crew if they wanted too. it might be a challenge but nothing is impossible. lol
