Back in December, one of the PR companies I have built a relationship with sent me a set of Mariah Carey concert DVDs to review on here. I usually don’t commit to these type of things unless I have realistic plans to follow through with it. That said, I never got around to watching the DVD until this weekend. I was supposed to give the other one away to a reader, and while I did give it away to a reader who likes Mariah Carey, I didn’t do it the traditional way with a contest. I just said “Oh yeah! One less Christmas present for my broke-ass to buy!”
I want to publicly apologize to Mariah Carey, Special Ops Media, and you readers for letting my trifiling side interfere with official site business. That said, the thing that bothers me the most, is that this DVD is actually very deserving of a good ListenToLeon Swagger Scale rating! It’s a shame that I waited until a month after the fact to review it.
In the beginning of the DVD, Mariah Carey is basically performing in a bra and pair of boyshorts, with a see-through robe/cape thingy over it. Although Mariah is not exactly a petite lady, she is built just the way I like ‘em! Pretty, curvaceous, and with ample T&A on display! I will publicly declare this right now: Mariah, if I ever get a chance to meet you, I’ll allow you to have your way with me that evening. As freaky as you want, as long as it’s legal, not too painful, and does not involve anything entering my butthole. Those are the only ground rules. Anything else is fair game.
Of course, the woman is singing her sexy little boyshort-wearing ASS off! You can say what you want about Mariah, but there aren’t too many people on Earth that can sing like that woman. I’d go see her concert, but I’d have to have to have a date with me. It’s totally something more geared towards females. Besides, I don’t think too many women would be receptive to me trying to pick them up at a Mariah Carey concert. They’d probably assume one of two things: #1) I must be a down-low brother, attending damned Mariah Carey concert by myself, or #2) I told my girlfriend I was going to the bathroom, just so I could go holler at some new chicks.
Mariah went through a few more outfit changes, and sang a number of her best songs. She ever broght back that dude Trey Lorenz to sing “Ill Be There” with her, and Boyz II Men on “One Sweet Day”. Overall, it was a great show. Very well-put together and creatively executed.
The DVD also has a bunch of great extras, too. Like a “Behind The Scenes” feature, a Karaoke-style feature, and a documentary. So if you are a Mariah fan, you’ll love it. I like Mariah, but I am not enough of a fan of anybody other than myself to look at that much content in one sitting. Still, it’s a great set, and you can break it up and check out the other stuff as you feel like it. It also comes with a smple of her perfume, which I’m neutral on. I wouldn’t kick a woman out of bed for having it on, but I can’t say that it turns me on, either. Here’s the ListenToLeon Swagger Scale rating for the Mariah Carey: The Adventures of Mimi DVD:

Back to topic! Mariah is a beautiful singer. Too bad she’s never going to have kids.
I’m a BIG fan of Mariah’s music, but I don’t think I could sit through one of her concerts. She makes me too nervous. Her clothes are too short & tight, her dancing is too spastic and she always looks like she’s about to tip over.

I think my work browser is old or something, because it looked fine at home, but it’s a little off here at work. That means, I have more work to do…lol. Plus, I want a better picture of myself for the top until I finish my logo.
Yeah the right column is ALL The way at the bottom, so it makes the page look like it has tons of content when it reallt doesnt.
Other than that, I’m loving it. Even the pic you have is cute. :)

You have a rating scale now? I have to agree. Mariah is a total hottie. Complete with a voice that could shatter glass. If you, by some miracle, manage to get her in bed, just make sure she doesn’t scream. We wouldn’t want you going deaf.

I have been trying to spread the word about Mariah to people for YEARS but no one seems to share my same enthuasim! I am glad to see someone else who can appreciate her for the vocal BEAST that she is… Oh and the total hottie she is too! I’m sure the hottieness outweighs the vocalness in your case but its all good, positive ratings are all that matters! YOU GO BOY!! NOW BURN THAT DVD FOR ME!!!! I’m broke too! LOL!

Rumors are saying Mariah Carey was on a maternity dress. I will wait to see the confirmation as I will be happy to hear that. She is my idol and I love all her music
