Last night, I looked over in the corner of my bedroom, and saw that my stack of Washington Post Express newspapers has gotten a little out of hand. The reason for this is, my arrogance won’t allow me to walk past a newsstand on days like yesterday, when I was quoted in the Blog Log, without taking as many copies as I can carry. Yes, my desire to see my own name in print has actually become quite the fire hazard. Especially since my place it old. As old as my place is, if a fat person farts too close to the radiator, a four-alarm blaze might ensue.
So to prevent certain death, I decided to go back to my print advertising days and rip out tearsheets of the “Blog Log” sections that featured me, then get rid of all those excess papers. To my suprise, I realized that I’ve been quoted in Express on 8 different occasions! I’m sure there are bloggers that probably have me beat, but this calls for some sort of celebration!
Quoted 8 times?! That makes me like, the Floyd Mayweather, pund-for-pound champion of DC Blogging! I’m approacing Rick Flair levels of flamboyance! Kind of like a high-yellow Apollo Creed before he fought Rocky or the Russian! I am The Juggernaut, b*tch!
Sorry for the outburst…but I’m sure you understand my excitement. It’s nice to know that my stuff is being read, and people feel that it’s enjoyable enough to tell others about. Have a nice weekend, because mine is already off to a great start!

I have a suggestion to keep you from being found post-mortem buried under stacks of newspapers: http://www.readexpress.com has the past two weeks of its print editions as PDFs. You can download the day you were in the Blogroll and save it that way.
It’s a big file (~25 MB); but you can print it, take a screenshot of the Blogroll page, whatever, and it won’t yellow with age. Plus it’s not as flammable as the print edition. :)
