Improvement And Reunions

I performed stand up comedy last night at this open mic event. Once again, I didn’t have a real routine to go off of, but I was a little more prepared than I had been before. It made a difference, so I hereby declare that I am not doing stand-up again until I have my stuff memorized. If that goes over well, then someone better tell Dane Cook to watch out, because I’m coming for his spot. I want to make sh*tty romantic comedy movie money one day, too!

In other unrelated news, someone e-mailed me today about a new reality show in the works for TVland called “First Love, Second Chance.” They are looking for single people age 35-42 who might be interested in reconnecting with a love from their past. Makes me think it’ll be like a real-life version of “There’s Something About Mary” only more serious, with no Woogie. If you are old enough and interested, you can go to this site for more details, or contact the producer, Josh Herbst:

See…I’m about to make someon famous, AND help them get laid by their old high school sweetheart! That’s just the kind of friend I am!

Hey! I’ve been wanting to try standup for a while now, but I don’t where to do it. Email me the name of the place where you did the open mic when you get a chance. Thanks.

Hold up bruh… you did a stand-up routine? Did you wear your good luck Nike Dunk kicks like you did when we ran ball??? If you did, hopefully the outcome was a lot betta… ha ha.

First Love, Second Chance huh???? Bet’cha there’s gonna be some married folks playin’ single tryna rekindle with that first flame…

Oh God not another reality show! Hey, that could be a movie! So you did stand up again? If you cracked jokes like you do on this blog, then I know you did well.

@ HomeImprovementNinja, I am going to send you a site with a bunch of open mics listed. I have to find it first, though. Monday nights, there are two comedy open-mics in Adams Morgan. One is at Felix around 8:00(that’s the one I’ve done), and the other is at Chief Ike’s around the same time.

@ G-Mo, no those shoes are now on the feet of the Homeless, where they probably belong! And yes, that would be hilarious if someone married were to go on reality TV looking for a past love!

@ Leon, thanks man. It went decent. I’m no Richard Pryor, but I’m making progress.
