Word on the street is, Amy Winehouse’s father is telling the press that she is battling emphysema, and needs to stop smoking now, not only to save her career, but in order to continue living. This is kind of sad, since the woman has all kinds of talent.
Then again, it’s crazy because I cannot begin to imagine the amount of smoking one would have to do in order to get lung cancer at 24. Ninteenth Century coal miners didn’t even experience lung trouble as quickly as she has. My grandma on my father’s side lived to be 80 years old, and she smoked unfilterted Camel cigarettes every single day. this leads me to believe that Amy is suffering because of what she was smoking, how often she was smoking it, and what has to be some kind of family history of cancer or something like that.
I don’t want to make too many jokes about a life-or-death situation, so I’ll just give out some old-fashioned Leon tough love: Someone needs to stay with that b*tch 24/7, and keep her off of drugs. I mean, don’t even let her take a sh*t by herself. Pay an ex rugbly player to tackle anyone who stands within 5 feet of her and says anything that remotely sounds like the words “crack,” “rock,” “freebase” or “smoke.”
Do something, sh*t. The woman has proven incapable of conquering these demons on her own. It’s time to strong-arm her and force her to get right.
Despite the jokes, I do wish Amy Winehouse the best. I want her to live a happy, drug-free life. Plus, I want her to keep making music. Hopefully, emphysema has not already ruined her voice. I would hate to buy the next Amy Winehouse CD, put it in the player, press play, and hear vocals that sound like Patty and Selma from The Simpsons coming out of the speakers.
Once again, best wishes to Amy Winehouse and family. Crack is wack, God damn it.

I really don’t understand why these celebs resort to drug abuse. There are normal people who manage to stay away from drugs who have way deeper issues than your average celebrity. We all have problems and things weighing heavily on our minds. Amy needs to be an adult and put the pipe/blunt down.
“Bitch, I live in a f*ckin’ trash can!” Wait, that was the Grouch.
Or was it?
I thought it was emphysema, which is not cancer but often comes along with it a really same difference. Man as singer how do you jeopardize something you love like that. You need basic breath to live and LOTS of breath to be a singer. Its sad!!
Cocaine is a helluva drug! And I guess so is all that other smack she is on.

Now this morning, they’re saying she does not have emphysema, but even if not – you are right – something has GOT to be done. Honestly, at first I’d never heard of Amy until I did some digging. I was thinking what’s the big deal with that skinny little thing? Then I heard her music & saw old pix & she was beautiful! I couldn’t believe it was the same chick!I don’t know why they turn to destroying themselves. I hope she can get serious help before we read about her death.
ughhhhhhhhhhh i love this crack whore! i hope she gets better.
