I have decided that it makes no sense for me not to have an e-mail list to keep folks in the loop when it comes to the new developments and exciting announcements that are coming to the site very soon. It’s about to be a very exciting time for ListenToLeon.net, and I don’t want anyone to miss the fun.
As I come to a decision on which service to use, I have another, more important thought to ponder: What type of reward or incentive should I offer you readers for signing up for the mailing list? Since you all are the people whose opinions matter the most on this issue, I’m going to directly ask you which of these two incentives would serve as a greater reward for signing up?
Access To Exclusive, Never Before Published Entries From The Vault
Kind of like Prince, I have a ton of unpublished, never-before-seen humor writing. Most of these works have remained private for the sole reason that I have yet to decide on the proper place and medium for me to present them. I can select three or four extremely funny ones, compile them into an ebook format, and offer the download link to those who become mailing list subscribers.
Offer Exclusive Access To The ListenToLeon Comedy Mixtape
I’m almost done fine-tuning my first comedy mixtape, and I’m willing to offer up a free download link to everyone who signs up for the mailing list. Think Wierd Al Yankovic meets DJ Drama, with a healthy portion of Redd Foxx mixed in with a pinch of Tenacious D, and some Lawry’s Seasoning Salt sprinkled on for good measure. You can call it “Comedic Gumbo” or you can call it “Comedic Slop” depending on whether you’re a glass half-empty or glass half-full kind of person. One thing you’ll have to call it, is entertaining!
