Baby Jesus is good for children and that cute element.
Grown up Jesus is used to convey a message and/or show significance.
It really depends on the vibe that you are looking for Leon.

I saw one of the nicest depictions of a Black Jesus on Display @ MLK lib maybe like 6 years back….It showed a dread locked strong black Jesus, gently carrying this woman who appeared to had fainted- my interp- from the stresses/hardships of life and The Lord was carrying her….That piece really touched me.
So give me a grown up Jesus, true!!!!

Black Jesus lives in DC.
He’s that old homeless man who lives under that overpass on New York Ave. Ere’body calls him the Leaf Man or Branch Man cuz he waves leaves at the cars that drive by him and blesses them. That brotha has been there since I’ve had my driver’s license. That’s 20+ years….

MY favorite Jesus is lil’ Brown Baby Jesus, as pictured on my blog. While I love the grown Black Jesus, the baby one is my favorite. It just makes me feel like I can do for Him since he’s done SOOOO much for me. I’ve imagined an entire Sanctified Nursery for Him in my mind and everything. Wooo, I love me some BBJ.
