Since commenter Anonymousnupe accused that clip from “The Mack” of setting the black race back, I am going to offer up one more clip from the same movie, in an act of redemption. Here is a Friday moment of social consciousness…and pimp sh*t:

Brothers Gonna Work It Out is a great song. Willie Hutch is underrated.
The Mack and most of those movies make me laugh so I really don’t take them that seriously even with the negative stereotypes. I try to counter balance those black exploitation films by watching something like The Education Of Sonny later on :)
Shows playing now on TV bother me more than those old films, like House of Payne for example, my friends and co-workers love this show while I hate it and refuse to watch it: not really all that funny to me plus plenty of black family sterotype sprinkled though out the show.
That was *sniff* beautiful. Now you got me all verklempt.
(Man, them brothers could ACT!)
People who bitch about the negativity of the Mack need to stop taking everything so seriously and shut the fuck up. The Mack is a positive, uplifting movie and encourages women to work.
