Presidential Debate and Chocolate News

Everybody, tonight I will be taking part in a Black Bloggers live chat during tonight’s presidential debate, just like I did during last week’s debate. I just randomly discovered last week’s chat on Twitter, and elbowed my way inside to speak(well, type) my mind. This time, I’m officially one of the cool kids, because they’re allowing me to come back and do it again. Things will be starting around 8:30, and the link to the chat is as follows:

After the debate, Comedy Central is premeiring the new show Chocolate News starring David Alan Grier. I will be checking it out, due in main part to loyalty for all of the funny memories Mr. Grier left me with during his In Living Color days. This show has the potential to either be really funny…or Mind of Mencia. It all depends on whether it deliver thought-out and timely jokes, or takes the easy route and offers up lazy material that falls back on stereotypes. I am going to give David Alan Grier the benefit of the doubt, but I hope the rest of the show’s writers come though and deliver something worth watching on a consistent basis, like the Daily Show or Colbert Report.

Oh yeah, here is a list of the featured bloggers in tonight’s chat NOT named Leon:

May-yun, the promos for DAG’s new show have brought on brief bouts of narcolepsy in my house. And given the title, I don’t have high hopes for it. The diaspora is about to take another hit, I fear. Barack, save us!!

Bet you a cocktail that the third debate will be funnier than Chocolate Snooze (I mean, cmon the title is soooo tired). Oh, wow!! Chocolate as in Black…who woulda thunk it?? Puhleaze!!

Alright, it’s official. David Alan Grier is STILL hilarious! The graphics and show title are slightly coonish, but I like the show!

That makes it official: DAG’s new show has been endorsed by LtL, so it’s doomed (no, I couldn’t bring myself to watch it).

Leon, please don’t endorse Mr. Obama publicly.

I doubt that any of my site’s readers are on the fence about who they’re voting for, so my endorsement won’t sway any opinions.

You right though, that show probably won’t last…Unless they hire me to write for them. THEN it’ll be a classic!

Chocolate News is HILARIOUS. Those Maya Angelou and Phatman sets were TOO funny.
