I know that outgoing President George Bush isn’t exactly the most popular guy in the world. I also understand that he is especially hated by plenty of Iraqis. That said, I did not expect to see a reporter throw shoes at him earlier today!
The clip of him ducking the oncoming shoe is hilarious! Bush has some great reflexes for an older fellow! He hit that streetball juke-move head fake in the split second between the first shoe toss and the second. He probably learned that from getting into Texas bar fights in his youth or something. For a brief second, I thought the President was going to come from behind the podium and beat that shoe-chucker down in a manner reminicent of Patrick Swayze in Road House.
Seriously though, what was the shoe tossing reporter thinking? If you’re going to go through all the trouble of throwing a shoe at the President, at least HIT THE MAN! That guy went through all of that effort, and basically did nothing but throw away a perfectly good pair of shoes. Then, to add injury to insult, he got jumped on by Secret Service. The fool deserved to get his nuts stomped on my Security for having bad aim! Next time, don’t telegraph your attack. Save the self-righteous speech until AFTER you’ve connected with your projectile shoe!

The Secret Service was slow to respond because that morning they had checked their 401k statements.

CB…I hope you had the same amount of righteous indignation when this warmonger decided it was ok to invade with “shock and awe” a country that he felt needed “liberating”. Using the lie of coming to the aid of the Iraqui people, interfering in their “internal dispute” and the brazen deception involving the now infamous non-existent claims of weapons of mass destruction. And frankly, there is no more internal dispute, the American people, on November 4th, threw a massive electoral shoe straight at his head and unlike the Iraqui reporter that shoe connected in a big way. i figured it out, George W. was a 3-time Dodgeball All-American back in school, known as “erk & jerk” by his teammates, he showed an innate ability to lead, though more times than not leaving his teammates confused in the direction he was leading. he also showed the ability to dodge balls coming at his head and also dodging questions on other questionable decisions…

I heard a news report that an Iraqi judge is investigating bruises on the face of the journalist. If the people of Iraq are more interested in making a hero out of a person who assaults a visiting head of state, maybe we should pull out now and see what the vacuum provides.
the whole incident was fake, think about it… Where was the Secret Service? this guy could have been throwing knives or firing a handgun… and he had enough time for a second throw (after removing the shoe)…
