To all of my folks in the DC area tonight, DJ Universall from my birthday party will be doing his thing at Looking Glass Lounge again, starting at 11:00. I decided to announce this here for two reasons:
- People kept asking about the DJ that night, because he’s THAT good
- It gives me a reason to give you all a copy of his mixtape to play in your ride, regardless of what your plans are tonight.
I feel kind of bad for not posting DJ Universall’s 2Thousand Now mixtape here earlier, mainly because once I set aside time to listen to it, I loved it. What gets me is that I knew the dude was good, because I’d heard him two times before. Nevertheless, I procrastinated and bojangled for almost two weeks before uploading it, even though his talent was a proven commodity. I would nominate myself for the prestigious Pookie Award for Crackhead Excellence, but since I’m giving away free stuff for the third straight day over here, I think I’m exempt despite my screw-up.
