There’s a reason why I’m playing this cheesy-ass song, but you’ll have to check for it after the break. “NEW ORLEANS!” “DE-TROIT CITY!” “DAAAALLAAAAS!”
I’m sure I probably wrote about this before, but just in case I didn’t, here goes…When my sister and I were kids, we watched “Rocky 4″ together. She was so scared of Drago, the Russian who beat Apollo Creed to death, that the song “Living In America” would make her cry anytime she heard it. I guess she associated it with the fight scene from the movie and it gave her flashbacks. Either way, I had the soundtrack and a boom box, so I used to run around the house chasing her with it playing, singing “Living in Ameeeeeericaaaa!”
To this day, that irrational fear of a James Brown song, as well as my insensitive use of it to torment my sister, is still funny to me. Now that I’ve gotten that memory out of my system, let me end this the way James Brown would have…
“I feel good!”

LOL
Poor Leigh…
black coffee and a hard roll…LMAO! I never paid attention to the lyrics.
LOL! NO the horror. I made it through the first 10 secs. I will face my fear and watch the rest later just so I can hear him say “DE-TROIT City”
LMFAO! I’m crying here.
OMG you are just mean. LOL! Poor Leigh is right!!! I guess thats what older brothers are supposed to do?!
