Taking Your Job Too Seriously

It kills me when some people get a little bit of authority, and instantly abuse it. I’m thinking about this, thanks to the story about the police officer who argued with Houston Texans running back Ryan Moats over running a red light while his mother in-law was dying. One would think that working at a hospital, that officer be used to encounters with people rushing to either seek medical attention or see friends and relatives on the verge of death. Apparently, he was in the arguing mood this day, since he held Moats up for 13 minutes before giving him a ticket. His mother in-law died during all of this foolishness.

I love that they put those cameras on police cars. So much bullsh*t that would have been “his word against mine” gets captured on film, and jerks like Officer Robert Powell get talked about on every news outlet in America as a result. Plus, it makes for cool footage on shows like “America’s Wildest Police Chases”, but that’s neither here nor there.

I’m looking forward to seeing what happens to Officer Powell since he seems to think he’s “Top Flight Security of the World.”

I heard about that. I couldn’t live with myself If I was that guy.

Then again the guy is obviously an asshole, so maybe he’ll feel just fine about it.

He’s already on administrative leave. He should feel like the world’s biggest asswipe right about now. Just completely insensitive.

Well I go to an HBCU now and did for undergrad as well….and just about EVERY security guard here is on that shit….

We used to have a dude we called “Back Up” cuz he called for back up when the homie refused to take his hat off!

But err…in the words of Dave Chappelle…”yeah it was a tragedy….uh…what were we talking about?”

Moats has money, that means he ought to exact revenge by contacting the police chief and donating 200k if the matter ‘can be resolved quickly and appropriately.’ Then wherever that a-hole ex-cop tried to find a new job I would contact the manager and prevent his hiring. Rinse and repeat until ex-officer powell is on state assistance or has fled the state.
