It’s been a long time since I’ve regularly watched the Real World. I usually just catch maybe 3 or 4 episodes each year, and then lose interest. I think it’s because the same things seem to happen: Lots of arguing about dumb shit. Someone has sex with someone else in the house. Another housemate gets jealous of one or more of the housemates having sex. A long-distance relationship falls apart. At least one or two people can’t handle their liquor. Someone’s property gets disrespected or destroyed. Etc…etc…
Come on, MTV! Give me something! By following the same pattern year after year, I feel like you’re peeing on my head, then trying to tell me it’s raining!
I do have to say that this season’s black cast member is pretty cute. Recently, Devyn Simone commented on her website criticizing the producers of the show, which has the internet buzzing. I really don’t give a sh*t about all of that…I just know she looks good on TV, even though the photos on her site don’t seem to do her justice.
Let me stop throwing out sweet-caking ass compliments, and actually talk about what Devyn Simone wrote. I did not see the episode of The Real World in question, and I am not going to promise that I ever will. However, it sounds like she does not like how the show’s producers portrayed aspects of her life on there.
This makes me wonder if she’s ever watched any past seasons of The Real World, or any reality TV for that matter. Producers air the stuff that’s good for ratings, which pretty much means arguments, fights, drama and sex. Plus, when you’re the fly in the buttermilk(a.k.a. the only black housemate), you’re lucky if they don’t try to make you look batshit crazy in front of millions of TV viewers. Let this be a lesson for any other black people going on reality TV: Expect some bullsh*t!
Reality TV stars out there, and especially my fellow reality TV viewers, let me know if my assesment is accurate. Reality TV is not reflective of reality…It’s show business. Not that I fully blame producers, because reality shows have to be edited in interesting fashion for people to watch them. I know I don’t want to spend prime-time watching people doing real-life things like clipping their toenails or playing Sudoko on the subway train.

Pretty girl but I never caught this season..Hell I don’t even KNOW when I last watched a season of The Real World.. I’d have to see her rants and watch the show, to see if she was just doing it for publicity or if maybe she’s never seen The Real World before.
To be honest, I don’t find her cute nor pretty. Her hair and make-up is wack, her website is wack, her attitude is wack and she looks like she only rocks Forever 21 shirts, as dresses. Wack.
Oh come on. Watching shows like The Real World and Road Rules (does that still come on?) you can tell that alot of stuff was edited solely for its dramatic content. And if you’re black…lol..they’re either gonna have you play that angry black man/bitchy black chick role, or they’ll rarely show you because of the fact that you aren’t dramatic.
I hated this season of the Real World. For one, it was way too short, way too boring, and way too dramatic. Serously, the opposite sex fueding constantly really made me think that everyone in that house was gay. I can’t even remember all of their names. The Real World just hasn’t been the same since Vegas.

Michelle O. came out hard, but she dialed it back, now she’s kickin’ ass too.

it’s funny how the Vegas season was the best one (I loved the Vegas season as well) but the reunion sucked monkey balls.
