“We Fall Down, But We Get Up”

Anyone else remember that song by Donnie McClurkin? Thanks to my brother James, I think about it whenever I see someone bust their ass. It doesn’t matter if they got their ankles broken on a basketball court, or if it’s some other kind of random embarrassment, like with the Brazilian model in the video above. Thanks to him making that joke years ago, I always hear the song in my head when someone loses their balance near me. Yes, I know it’s wrong, especially since it’s a gospel song with a beautiful message…but it still makes me chuckle. I’m man enough to admit my imperfections.

Eventually, I’ll “get back up again” and it won’t be funny to me anymore. Until then, lighten up a bit, and laugh along with me!
