A few months ago, I wrote an entry over at Blackpower.com about the N-word, aiming to clear up the controversy over that word, once and for all. The article went over pretty well, but I decided that it should be adapted to a Leonmentary film, in order to spread the message to a wider audience. Let me know what you all think of it. I have the filmmaking bug, ever since that karaoke clip!
Warning: The “N-word” is actually said out loud on this clip, so turn the volume down if you’re watching at work!

White getting their asses whupped for saying the word n—er? While growing up, I got MY ass whupped for saying the word
I mentioned that on there, too. My friend Dookie was quick to slap the shit out of ANYONE who called him the n-word, black, white or whatever!
It’s wild, cause otherwise, he was the nicest guy you’ll ever meet in your life. Just don’t say that word around him! If you do, RUN!!!
Ur friends name was “Dookie”. Seriously!! I would be permanently pissed off about everything if my nickname was “Dookie”.
Cosigns with Dookie.
Although you raised some valid points…some points I didn’t necessarily agree, overall solid vid, Leon. You should make more vids.
I forgot to mention that it wasn’t my friends but my mother who did the whupping.
@ Wonderlove, this is the type of topic most people aren’t going to agree on.
@ Patty Duke, I see. My mom would slap me in the mouth whenever I said anything worse than “Hell”. I couldn’t even say THAT, unless I was talking about Christianity!!!
@ The Common Share, that wasn’t his God-given name! It’s crazy, because he was the cleanest dude around, despite that nickname. He wore dress shirts, ties and slacks to school every day…Dressed better than the teachers!

The camera loves you!
Great Black Panther shirt :)
@ Zen, thank you :)
@ The Scoop, I’ll leave my thoughts on the video over on Youtube. I’m a little tired of clarifying my stance today LOL
Did you say ninja’s don’t read? You are a mess.
I personally don’t think anyone should use the N word and truly don’t understand how a African American person can be okay with their Caucasian friends saying the word.
