Don’t say I never gave y’all anything! The first release from Raheem Devaughn’s 368 Music label, The Art Of Noise, is a mixtape featuring 18 tracks of of mostly unreleased material. You can download it for free here. Mr. Devaughn’s next studio album, The Love and War MasterPeace, is due out later this year.    

I met Raheem Devaughn a few years ago with W. Ellington Felton back at Bohemian Caverns. I was drunk at the time, so I said to him “Say man…I just want to THANK YOU, because I got so much ass off of The Love Experience, it’s not even funny! That joint is like liquid panty remover!”

I don’t know if he thought I was serious, or if he knew I was just joking, but either way, he was cool about it. He kind of just gave me a blank expression, nodded, asked if I wanted some catfish, and then went on over to where the ladies were, while I went on about my business of causing drunken mayhem.

Oh yeah. The brother was gonna share CATFISH NUGGETS with a complete stranger! If that ain’t cool, I don’t know what is.

I ran into him again recently at the oh-so-sexy Lizz Robbins’ birthday party. I didn’t mention the getting laid joke or the catfish, so this time it was a little more of a normal encounter. Either way, I definitely want to do whatever I can to support him and Dub in all their career endeavors. Besides, the music is quality, so everybody wins!

      I so feel the love Leon…. Yes, let’s support the brother Raheem… He needs to do a remix of that Hennesey song and make it about REMY (ok, I’m biased lol). The CD is hot!

      When I got here at the end of 2004 i quickly jumped on the RD Train…I loved all of the mixed CD’s…now I have 5! I downloaded with a quickness yesterday and so far I digging these songs the most….
