I can honestly say that I’m surprised this hadn’t happened earlier. As much as Perez Hilton likes to stir up controversy, someone was bound to kick his ass one of these days. That’s just the risk you run when you consistently bash people. As a fellow sh*t taker, the unwritten common sense rule of thumb is to be willing and able to deal with the repercussions that may come as a result of what you say. Freedom of speech does not give you freedom from getting f*cked up by the person you just pissed off. For those unfamiliar with the story, Perez Hilton ran into Fergie and Wil-I-Am from The Black Eyed Peas at a club. Will-I-Am told Hilton not to write about the band on his site, and Hilton called Will-I-Am a “faggot.” I guess Mr. I-Am and company did not appreciate receiving a gay slur from a gay man in public, because his tour manager subsequently beat up Hilton.
I’m not too big on having someone else fight your battles for you, especially against a gay dude built like the Pillsbury Doughboy, but I guess that’s what rap entourages are good for. What’s the point of having a bunch of people all around you drinking up your liquor and getting residual ass off your name, if they’re not willing to do your dirty work? No one rides for free. The tour manager just earned his keep, and therefore deserves the right to hang out in VIP with people more famous and talented than he is.
As far as Perez Hilton, the photo says it all. This dude looks like he was still crying like a b*tch when the photo was taken. Man up, Perez! Walk it off! Sure, he’s a little lumped up with a couple of raspberries upside his head, but he’ll be alright. The legal system will be on his side, and it all adds up to more publicity for him. You never know…Hilton might start talking MORE trash, and attempt to get himself beaten again since this thing could put money in his pocket. He’d be like the blogger version of Geraldo Rivera!
The other part of this that surprises me is that it was The Black Eyed Peas that got to him. Not Plies, not 50 Cent, but one of the more happy go lucky groups in all of popular music! You never know these days…

Black-eyed peas are no strangers to this. A few years back Ashton Kutcher tried to “PUNK” them on his show and they tried to whup his ass and his whole staff, even after they found out it was a joke. It’s like they say, the real dangerous folk don’t rap about it I guess.
Perez tried will.i.am because he thought will.i.am was soft. The rude awakening Hilton got was well deserved.

I personally like Perez Hilton, I am a fan, however, he can’t even get mad at someone punching him over being called a faggot. If a straight man called a gay man a faggot in that context, and the gay man punched the shit outta that guy, then Perez would probably give him a shot out on his site.
I hope GLAAD gets on Perez for calling Will.I.Am a f*g, the same way the got on Isaiah Washington.
