Short Term Memory Loss

Right now, I’m struggling to memorize something. The most frustrating thing about this situation is that I know that I am completely capable of remembering what I need to. I am like a black version of Cliff Claven from Cheers, because I can recall all sorts of pointless trivia and random facts which I’ll never need unless Jeopardy comes calling one day. Still, I’m having trouble committing the stuff I worked on earlier to memory.

Maybe I drank and smoked away too many brain cells in college. Then again, I would have lost some of those random trivia gems along the way. I think I just need to learn some memory tricks to help me improve that aspect of myself. Name association would be especially helpful, since I can meet someone and talk for 20 minutes, then realize I remember everything he or she said EXCEPT his or her name!

Please don’t tell me I’m the only scatterbrained person left on Earth. If you can relate to my struggle, let me know. Better still, if you have any tips to help, feel free to share them.

  4. My brain at my age is tragic. I woke up one day, opened my refrigerator and, lo and behold, there was a pair of my shoes in the fridge. Don’t know why? No, wasn’t drunk night before. I was scared to see what I may have put in th closet but, never found anything. Memory, what memory? Surprised I even remembered that story.

  6. Rich brain diets and brain supplements like ginkgo biloba and gotu kola would help you to enrich your memory.
