Normally, I would put this random collection of musings on Twitter, but I feel like sharing with everybody tonight. I know a lot of you haven’t made your way over there yet, so I don’t want to leave anyone out. I care, dammit! I am an equal-opportunity type of dude, so walk with me for awhile as I spew off a few random thoughts from yesterday.
Thought 1: I went to open mic and did comedy tonight. the first half of my set where I was pretty much ad-libbing went over pretty well. Once I started telling the jokes that I actually wrote however, it fell apart faster than Chris Brown’s innocent reputation. I actually pressed the wrap-it-up button on myself since I got tired of trying to win back the audience. It was like “F*ck it. Thank you. Have a great night.”
Thought 2: I met some ladies there early in the night, and they talked shit to about 80% of the comedians onstage. I forgot to use my “Cougar” joke on them, but I think that’s because they left me alone. One of them was absolutely beautiful, so I’m glad I didn’t have to become Mr. Jone-On-The-Audience-Members tonight :)
Thought 3: I’ve had Mos Def’s latest album for about a week now, but I’m just listening to it tonight. He might not ever put out anything as good as “Black On Both Sides” again, but this definitely stands out! Nothing but positive reviews from me so far.
Thought 4: I need to make fun of more products. Something I made jokes about recently hit me up about possibly advertising over here. Who says talking sh*t doesn’t pay off?
Thought 5: The 4th is coming up, but I need to figure out exactly which cookout I’m going to be at. If you know a place that’s serving ribs, let me know in the comments section!
That’s it for now. The next entry will have an actual beginning, middle and ending, as opposed to this format of haphazard randomness.
My random thoughts keep reminding me that Rock the Bells tour is almost here and I STILL don’t have my tickets. UGH!
Last year’s Rock The Bells was amazing! This year’s lineup doesn’t look quite as good, but it still looks like a great show. I should consider going this year, too.
yeah last years RTB line-up was wayyy better. my fav performance was De La..skipping this year…..it was hottt as hell last year too
I’m having a barbecue but, since it would take you 12 hours to get to Farmington Hills, MI, I won’t invite you! Perhaps you can come and check out Pay-Pay! Didn’t he move to Michigan? LOL
