All morning, I kept hearing people talking about Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles cutting off all of her hair, a-la Britney Spears and more recently, Amber Rose. Every joke in the world has been made, but I want to defend the young lady right now. It is my belief that Solange just might be pretty enough to actually pull off the baldie cut. Where she went wrong, was doing it in such a randomly haphazard fashion.
From the looks of things, she cut it herself in the bathroom with a pair of those $5.00 CVS hair clippers. That, or she got one of her friends or relatives to do it. Barbers get paid for a reason. She needs to make a trip to the nearest ‘hood barbershop, and tell them to give her a shape up. It would make a world of difference, and silence all of the people cracking jokes. A good line up would easily take her from looking like an impoverished 3rd world child to a stylish trendsetter in no time flat.
Just one word of advice for Solange: when going to a crowded barbershop, NEVER go to the barber with the empty chair! 9 times out of 10, he has no customers for a reason. He will do something like invent a hairline for you, and have you walking around looking like main man from Earth Wind and Fire. Just wait for one of the competent barbers, and you’ll shut us bloggers up with your new look!

AHAHAHAH Leon you so wrong but in her defense…I think she did the “big chop” or transitioning into ALL NATURAL hair. Basically meaning she cut all her permed hair out and is growing her hair back with out chemicles. ALOT of black women do it this way I am doing the same thing BUT I can NOT do the big CHOP LOL (I can’t see myself with the mini bush) I will be in braids and weaves till it grows out….More about “transitioning”

I love me a bald-headed chick from time to time, but Solange doesn’t really have the shape of head or face to rock it. And the fact that the remaing hair looks so hapbazardly cut certainly doesn’t help. Amber Rose she most certainly ain’t!
I think she is cute enough to pull it off, she could use a lining and a brush. natural is the way to go.
The only way she can pull this off is to stay glammed up. The tank and ridiculous shades remind me of the first time I saw Rupaul without full makeup and wig.

YOU GUYS ARE RIDICULOUSLY MEAN!!!! i love her hair and i’m proud that she is stepping up and showing that true beauty CAN’T be found in fake hairweaves and wigs. In the end when you take it all out, you’re gonna be left with your broken off, damaged natural hair anyways. that’s only if you have any real hair left over from the daily strain put on it.
