I Got A Great New Album In The Mail Today

A few days ago, someone called me a “Flash from ‘The Five Heartbeats’ lookin-ass n*gga.” So in honor of that randomly ridiculous insult, I am posting this clip of the commercial he was in that got featured on BET every hour on the hour for the better part of a decade: Hey Love!

12 points are automatically deducted from your Black card if you are not familiar with the phrase, “No my brother! You’ve got to buy your own!” The only exceptions are those too young to remember the commercial’s infinite run on BET during the “Video Soul” era.

I used to feel bad for Flash’s friends, since he was being stingy with his Hey Love album. I was like “Man…Flash wanna keep ALL the p*ssy to himself! Let your boy hold the album for a few days!”

Then, I remembered that the album just came in the mail that day. I don’t blame Flash for telling his boy to kiss his ass without actually saying “kiss my ass.” I would have denied his request as well, especially considering how quickly “Hey Love” turned such a lame party into a freaky-deaky 1980’s sex orgy in the making.
