I’ll blame this keyboard courage of yours on PTSD, that is, if you really are who you say you are. You might be lying about that, which would actually make you WORSE than a Nazi…

i have seen people walking around wearing jackets with Communist flags on them and wearing communist hats in the winter…and noone says a damn thing even though they were WORSE than Hitler. they murdered nearly 20,000,000 people…including members of my family. ill put the number of people that each one killed or wounded.

i myself dressed up as an east german for halloween and i had a group of people make comments about me because they were too stupid to realize what my costume was. i took a class that specialized on pointing out atrocities and i think that you, my friend, should look at American history before you judge someone else.

as one last side note i do not appreciate the fact that you and everyone else “forget” their own crimes. my family was killed by the Soviets and i can tell you that they were the most savage, brutal bastards on the face of the planet. they were a thousand times worse than hitler. at the end of WWII their soldiers went into Berlin and they raped over 2,000,000 women. they raped anyone between the age of 2 and 88
and they would rape women 15 to 1
they deported multi millions and shot millions

if you think the nazi experiments were so bad why is it that American scientists use the information gleened from those experiments? why is it that America pardoned japanese war criminals that had experimented upon US troops in order to build chemical weapons. the man who put america into space was an SS scientist. look up american human experimentation and you will see that they experimented on black people up till the 60s and 70s. the Nazis just so you know got the idea for their racial policies from the jim crow laws of the South. the Nazis were inspired by American sterilzations. you need to read history and you will find a great deal of things that are glossed over and are forgotten because it would tarnish the american idea of home of the brave. i was ashamed to call myself an american after learning that the US governemt murdered and experiemted on millions of its own people…you should be ashamed too. the Germans at least recognize what their nation did…you should at least be mature and responsible enough to accept yours

I think people are narrow minded to make assumptions about someone elses thoughts on racism. I have a complete Nazi uniform, and while I haven’t worn it at Halloween, I wouldn’t have any qualms about it. I’ve dressed as a Viet Cong Guerilla before and people liked the originality of it. I didn’t get flack about it because they killed, or tortured, or imprisoned American soldiers. The truth is when you dress as military figures of other nations, even those of nations who aren’t always held in high regard, it’s not to be racist, hateful, sympathize, or promote an agenda. I personally respect the fighting soldiers of these nations because whether you agree with some of their ideals of them they are following orders and fighting for whatever cause they believe in.
Are re-enactors racists? There are plenty or German, Vietnamese, Confederate re-enactors out there who are white Americans who participate in these events as living history or have an interest in the time period as I do. If this person was dressed as a Soviet, whom people seemed to forget that Stalin purged millions of his own people before WW2, would you get bent out of shape? How bout dressing as a Confederate soldier or officer? While it’s not stooping as low as Klan robes, would that be racist? Am I racist for owning some of these military items?
People need to really get over themselves. A major issue here is people can’t mind their own business and worry about what others are doing or thinking. Do I agree with what someone says or believes or dresses? Of course no, but if this person is not bothering me or anyone else then they have the right to wear, or think what they want. That’s what makes America what it is. Was she going around spouting off Nazi ideology? Was she insulting or acting racist?
Get off your high horse, get your ass off your shoulders, and worry about something more important that effects your own life. I for one have more important things to worry about in my life than to worry about someone wearing a costume I don’t agree with.
