What do the makers of Egg Nog do for the rest of the year? I know I only see that stuff in the store during the Christmas/New Years Holiday season. What are they doing the other 10 months of the year?
I suspect that the makers of Egg Nog are part of a secret underground conglomerate makes money selling nothing but sh*t you only eat at a certain time of year. Yeah, I said it: A Seasonal Food Mafia.
Nasty ass Candy Corn. Way-too-sweet-for-a-normal-human-being Easter Peeps. Those Valentines Day hearts with the dumb ass messages on them. The Seasonal Food Mafia is responsible for all of it!
I did a little social experiment earlier today on Twitter. I can’t stand candy corn. I think that stuff tastes like wax, sugar and death rolled up into one little cone. However, my anti-candy corn rant almost started a Twitter mutiny! People were talking about buying bags of the stuff and leaving it at my house in protest like the Teabaggers. It got ugly…quick!
I can’t be alone, though. Who among you shares my disdain for candy corn and Easter Peeps? There are some seasonal things that I like(Cadbury eggs and even egg nog). However, I just can’t get down with candy corn and Peeps, other than the fact that they look funny.
Well, “Peeps” are also funny because of their name, which reminds me of outdated slang. Other than that, I want nothing to do with styrofoam marshmallow chicklets!
Ok. My rant is done now. I don’t want the Seasonal Food Mafia to kill me, so I’m going to shut the hell up now and get back to NBA basketball.

Egg Nog Milkshakes FTW… Candy Corn is lightweight nasty, but I’ll eat it if it’s in front of me.
I detest candy corn.. I used to remember how handed out that crap with thoughts of never going back the next year. And I have the worst memory EVER.
I never went for the Peeps but thats cause it looked odd to me since you KNEW it took time to make.
Now.. egg nog with brandy is dandy! With spiced rum.. yum yum and then some. But with nothing in it – you can keep dat shit!

I like candy corn & egg nog!! They’re not that bad b/c they are seasonal, so you only get the sugar rush it gives for about 30 days lol
I freakin’ love Egg Nog! I’m a Brit, but my dad’s Canadian & my mum used to make a mean homemade egg nog at Christmas. I lived in Canada the past 3 years & lemme tell ya, the day I discovered they sold Egg Nog in cartons in the supermarket was possibly the happiest day of my life! I think I singlehandedly kept Egg Nog in business the past few years. I’m somewhat ashamed to say I once went through 2 cartons of the stuff in a day…by myself! That’s when I went to Egg Nog rehab.
I’m back in England now though and I say Egg Nog & everyone looks at me like I’ve got 3 heads. Sad times.
And, don’t hate me, but I kind of don’t know what candy corn is.
Candy Corn is horrible! It’s worse than those mystery candies in the containers on grandma’s table. Easter Peeps, Circus Peanuts, Cadbury Eggs, all ick ick ick. I’ll take Egg Nog if it has a lil something in it.
How dare you disrespect Peeps. They are delicious. Especially the blue and pink ones. I like then to get a little stale. I also love egg nog. I’m not a fan of candy corn but if they’re there I will eat a few.
