I Will Park My Foot In A DC Councilmember’s Ass

dc-parking-cars-with-cameras

The days of free parking on Saturdays in DC are over. I don’t know about you all, but I don’t like this one bit. DC already gets a ton of money from drivers via red light cameras and utterly confusing sign combinations. To start charging people for weekend parking is just plain greedy. I don’t see how it really helps anyone other than city government bureaucrats lining their pockets, and potentially Metro(who has had the year from Hell). Well, I also assume it might create a few new jobs since the city will probably be hiring more meter maids.

Does anyone really make it their goal in life to be a meter maid? What child grows up saying “When I grow up, I want to ride around the city putting tickets on people’s cars”? If anyone, it was probably the little punk-ass snitch who used to tell on people for running in the hallways. All former hall monitors aside, I think everyone else who became a meter maid either did because it’s the best job they could find, they’re trying to work their way up to fighting actual crime one day, or they actually were regular cops but they did something stupid like pulling a gun out at a snowball fight and the meter maid gig is their punishment.

No offense to any meter maids reading this. If you work in traffic enforcement riding around giving people tickets all day long, you can look at this entry one of two ways:

  1. If you’re using this as a stepping stone to something else, I’ll say “f*ck you and everything you stand for” when I see you in the streets, but part of me respects you for having goals.
  2. If you’ve been demoted to meter maid status, or you ended up here because you didn’t want to go to school, once again, “f*ck you and everything you stand for.” Just consider this entry as God’s way of telling you to get your damned life together.

Adrian Fenty continues to find new ways to burn bridges here in DC. I’m not going to criticize his entire job performance, because he does work hard and there are some positives. Still, I anticipate the mayor having a tough time getting re-elected unless the candidate running against him is totally inept. Otherwise, he’ll have a challenge on his hands. I won’t make empty threats of violence towards him. However, I do want to park my foot in the ass of every member of the DC City Council other than Marion Barry. The only reason Barry gets a pass is because he seems like the type that might send some Southeast n*ggas to my house to shoot up the place if I piss him off.

To everyone coming to DC this weekend, pay attention to the meters, because they WILL be running!

OMG, i do a bit about the self-hatred necessary to pursue a career as a meter maid. If there’s room for my foot, I’d like to insert it as well.

NO WAY, this greedy Fu***** city, are you kidding me. Thats show shady.

And you couldn’t be more right about the utterly confusing signs. The job of putting new signs up also means taking the old, wrong, ones down!

    *Shaking Fist*
Friggin DC and their stupid meters, meter maids, signs, etc.
Maybe I’ll go around and post a few confusing signs of my own…
I wonder where the extra revenue is going other than the pockets of people sitting in pretty chairs wearing pretty suits…
BASTARDS!! We should protest by not driving around during the day and everyone parking after 10:30pm. HA! That’ll show ‘em!

I wish they would do this in NY. I’ll hit the meter and knock it down. I go on failed meter hunts on weekdays. I park for a 12hr work shift. I go for drinks afterwards and still don’t move the car. I have a ticket-on-windshield quota I don’t wanna exceed

DC needs to keep real good security on the parking lot where they park the meter maid cars. I’ve been tempted more than once to put sugar in all their tanks.

    I’m just saying.

DC is steadily discouraging more folks from spending time in DC at night with this stupidity.

I never seen more greedy city than DC. I got $200.00 Dollar ticket to park on the meter in DC. This is after I fed the meter. They claim this is NO rush hour zone street, where one card will pass every 15-20 min. They are greedy bastered.

I don’t normally condone violence but I’d totally hold one of them S.O.B. down for you-to take the foot insertion easier :-). My friend parked and was standing in line at the meter machine. Why did this meter maid gave them all tickets, claiming she didn’t see them at the meter machine. On second thought, I might need you to hold ‘em down because I’m still mad about that and I wasn’t even the one getting the ticket.
