I need your help, people! I’m almost out of ListenToLeon.net cards, and I would like your input. Above is the old card design, in all it’s Parental Advisory sticker glory. You can also see a design that didn’t quite cut it, but may get turned into a sticker. I found out that I can get stickers made for the same price as new cards, so now I am faced with the following questions, which I’d like to get your feedback on in the comments section:
- Do I get cards, stickers, or both?
- Would people find the Michael Jackson inspired image in my header amusing on a card or sticker?
- Should I make a small run of the little dog humping the big dog image into stickers once I’ve cleaned up my sloppy drawing in Photoshop?
- The only other idea for a drawing that I can think of is a cartoon version of my face on an angel & devil, with them beating the crap out of each other. Is that funny to you at all?
- Do you have any other ideas for business card images? I want something that instantly says “This is funny” and draws people in.

Hey Leon. Here are my 2 cents. I’m lazy so they’re gonna come across short.
a. Just get cards. Do grown folks want stickers? Not sure.
2. The MJ image in ur header is amusing but not sure it’s business card material.
3a. I love the idea of a cartoon version of u w/ angel and devil beating each other up. THAT’s hilarious to me.

Everyone else, are stickers a bad idea for a comedy blog? I like the fact that I can put them inappropriate places, then deny any knowledge of how they got there.
now sugar…if i was your graphic artist.. id lean toward something new..(i do new cards every year… and i give each year a theme) but i could totallly see you with a SHAFT inspired card..

Keep brainstorming. I love the shock value of the Michael Jackson picture as your Web Banner, but I don’t really like it as a business card. Stickers will help continue to brand you; and will definitely drive traffic to your site when placed strategically.
The dog joint is too funny – but dangerous for a business card.

get the stickers…they’ll last longer and i think with what you do and what your site is about they’ll payoff on the branding tip
I saw do both for the reasons already stated. Class up the business cards in case you actually use them to get business for your site. Stay away from the MJ pic as it may land you in hot water down the road. Folks are still real sensitive about his passing.
Yes, I definitely agree that the MJ photo on your business card is not approriate. As Curly Q stated, folks are sensitive about their Michael. I think a funny card would be something about a speaker or a bull horn. I’m actually kind of blanking on this one really. It needs to be attention grabbing, funny, and yet professional so that you are actually taken seriously.
DEFINITELY THE STICKERS!!! The old business card design is good for stickers (mad I aint think of it). Stick them in public places like you said, I like that idea

I like the collage that you have on your fridge of all the asses then obama in the middle as a business card design. People will be less likely to throw that away and they’ll remember you for that damn collage. Perhaps its innappropiate but..isn’t that what you are gonig for??

I would do the version of the dog, but that is me being different. Plus After laughing for about 20-30 with the dogs, I don’t think people will take you seriously.
