I can’t believe I missed Ron Artest’s crazy post-game interview last night. The man shouted out everyone on Earth other than his coach and teammates, then plugged his new single! As much as I’d like to make jokes about Ron, I don’t blame him for being elated. I can’t even lie, I’m happy for him myself! In a few short years, he’s gone from the most hated man in basketball, to a champion who stepped up big time in the most important game of his life.
As far as sports films go, The Ron Artest Story would be an awesome one! This movie would be the would be the ultimate tale of sports redemption, with plenty of funny quotes thrown in for good measure! I’m telling you, The Ron Artest Story would be just like “Rudy.” Well, “Rudy” if Mr. T had been cast in the starring role.
Don’t steal my idea, Hollywood! Ron, if you’re looking for a writer to make this happen, get at me: leon@listentoleon.net. Look at it this way: It can’t be any worse than the Dennis Rodman made-for-TV biopic, or the MC Hammer one!

Leon,
You may have struck gold with the Ron Artest Story. If you need a tall cat is decent shape who don’t look nothin like Ron Artest to drink Hennessey, shoot jumpers and punch ninjas, sign me up! I am Kobe Bryant ready. Lmao…
Say Queensbridge!!!
Even though I wanted Rondo and boys from Boston to pull through, I was happy for Ron Artest. I think that his performance during the game, although maddening for me as a Boston fan was amazing, even better than Kobe (who I felt didn’t deserve the MVP, but whatever). He was focused, calm, and consistent and seemed really down to earth and humbled.
I still cant stand this man.
