This 11 year old girl took an interesting approach to stop bullies: She wrote President Obama. The President wrote her back, which inspired her to create an organization focused on stopping bullies. Truly, a feel good story. Unless some bully kicked her ass for snitching. Then…Well, I don’t know.
As good as I feel for that young child, I can’t help but compare her bully strategy to the one my father gave me when I was young. His words were more along the lines of “You better whup him! Or fight him EVERY DAY until you do!” If he’d have caught me trying to write a letter to the President at age 11, Dad would have probably made me go outside and do some push ups or something.
Whatever the case, I guess this young’un taking the high road as opposed the the old school assault & battery route is the reason why she’s a national news story now. All’s well that ends well.
Oh yeah, I had to throw a “Gooch” episode of Diff’rent Strokes up here for y’all. Rest in peace, Gary Coleman.

I remember being terrorized by a girl named Bones in my elementary days.(Yeah! A girl. Don’t judge me!)It seemed like she had microphones installed in my house because, she would always show up when my mother would send me to the store, alternate routes be damned! I wonder what she’s up to these days?
Man, what happened to the old school. Bullies serve a purpose. I used to Ninja Gaiden the bullies at my school, sneak up on em with a sneak attack that would make the vietcong proud.
