If I Lived In NY He Would Get My Vote

I have to set aside a moment to honor Jimmy McMillan of the “Rent Is Too Damn High” party, and bring some attention to his candidacy for Governor of New York. Between the hair and the fact that he can say all of these things while keeping a straight face, I have to give the man his moment in the sun over here at ListenToLeon.net. Mr. McMillan, good luck in your campaign, and keep the belligerent statements coming, my friend!

Seriously though, someone make sure that this guy isn’t actually Keenan Thompson of Saturday Night Live in disguise. Jimmy McMillan totally looks and sounds like a character he would play.

As a New Yorker, I can attest and sign affidavits that this dude is the real deal. He tried running for the mayor of NYC (during Bloomberg’s second term) under the same platform. Frankly, I am surprised he did not get a greater following.

If he had more to his platform in the terms of how he was going to fix the problem rather than being “Mad as hell and not going to take it anymore” he would get votes. But why isn’t he running to be a councilman which is where he would have a MUCH greater shot of getting in the power cycle?

That said.. this dude is HE-LARRY-E-US!!
