Right now, I am sipping on a homemade spiced bourbon. Blame it on the snow. Winter weather makes me crave dark liquor, hot food and sex. Not always necessarily in that order, but always at least one or two of the three would suffice. If I can pull off the trifecta…JACKPOT! Leon = A Happy Camper!
This homemade bourbon is actually some mystery liquor that my friend Tajh learned how to spice and do God knows what to. I’m not asking any questions, because it tastes really, REALLY good! It could contain the blood of the innocent for all I care. If so, I tip my hat in honor of their tasty, oh-so-delicious sacrifice! That, and I’m going to church on Sunday to see if I can be forgiven for Alcoholism and possibly, mild Cannibalism.
All Hannibal Lecter jokes aside, I have decided that I am investing in a few bottles of really good whiskey & bourbon for my private stash. I may even do like I did at my old place and plant some mint leaves outside so my mint juleps are extra fresh! Whatever the case, I would love to get your suggestions on the best Whiskey and Bourbon out there. Right now, I tend to lean towards Maker’s Mark, Gentleman Jack, Bookers, Basil Hayden & Bulleit, but right now, all I have is 1/3 a bottle of Tajh’s Homemade-But-Really-Good Spiced Bourbon. If you were to recommend something for my private stash, what would it be? Let me know, because there is a liquor store going out of business near my job, and I get paid this week!

Woodford Reserve is good, as is Gentleman Jack. I’ve also been drinking Knob Creek lately. I can’t really afford high quality bourbon on a regular basis but those are standbys.
i stumbled upon a bourbon tasting one night, and a few were actually pretty good. of course though, as i stumbled out i couldn’t tell you the names hahaa. i have friends that drink jameson and mcclellan’s i think.
all these comments just made me a happy alcoholic. going to the ABC store this weekend with this list of recommended drinks :)
