The Most High Yellow Concert In History

The Second Chance Tour feat El DeBarge, Chico DeBarge, Al B. Sure & Christopher Williams

I just saw an ad for the “Second Chance Tour” featuring El DeBarge, Chico DeBarge, Al B. Sure and Christopher Williams. Oh yes, that lineup is real. Every light skinned joke I’ve ever received in my life is actually on tour with one another. I wish these brothers well, but I cannot help but wonder whose idea it was to put this show together. It’s just too yellow to have happened by mere coincidence.

Somewhere, there was a meeting of the minds and one of those in attendance said “Drake is on fire right now! This just might be year that the light-skin negro comeback actually happens! El DeBarge has a new album out. Let’s put him onstage with his brother Chico. Call Christopher Williams and see if he can join in after whatever chitlin’ circuit stage play he’s singing in wraps up. I know Al B. Sure has nothing better to do.”

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when this all went down. My friend Cliff said it would have been really funny had they’d tried to get Tyrese as the opening act, then packaged it as “The Black and Yellow Tour.” Whatever the case, it’s cool to see that these guys are still performing in 2011. From one light skinned brother to another, I salute you gentlemen!

Oh so you’re making fun of your light-skinned brethren? If anything, I would think this was an opportunity for you to take your comedy routine on the road.

“Al B Sure” has nothing better to do. That is a good one. Maybe with ABS getting a few chitlin shows he can stop scamming and dating old broads in hollywierd.
