Who knew that Mike Tyson is a crooner?! This clip of Iron Mike singing The Girl From Ipanema was posted on Facebook, and surprisingly, it’s not as horrible as I expected it to be. I mean, we’ve already seen Tyson reenacting Bobby Brown’s Every Little Step video with Wayne Brady. Now, like Bobby in ’88, Mike has gone solo. Mike was trying to get sexy on ‘em at the end, too! Brazilian TV will never be the same!
All tune-carrying jokes notwithstanding, I’m glad that Mike Tyson is embracing his lighter side these days. For years, all you saw from him was anger and rage. It’s pretty cool to witness this man emerge from his past demons as someone I’d actually want to have a beer with, as opposed to how I previously viewed him, which was as someone who scares the ever-loving sh*t out of me.
On an unrelated note, R.I.P. to Herman Cain’s presidential campaign.
