This Haiti Video

I usually don’t post stuff like this, since my site is comedic in nature. Still, the human suffering in Haiti has been on my mind every day since the earthquake hit. On one hand, it’s great to see this kid being rescued after 7 days trapped beneath a building. On the other hand, it makes you think about how many other people weren’t so lucky. It’s hard to even say the word “lucky” when you consider that kid has been trapped for days, but I guess when you think about the alternative, the term definitely applies.
I just felt like I should write something about what’s going on over there, since I haven’t. My prayers are still with the people of Haiti and their families.

Pat Robertson Is A Motherfucker

I rarely ever drop the F-bomb in my title, but I think Pat Robertson’s recent comments on the earthquake in Haiti make him a more than deserving target for the mother of all swear words. It’s disgusting to hear a so-called man of God call this catastrophic disaster “a blessing in disguise.” These are human lives we’re talking about. Women, children, priests and missionaries, all among the dead. Therefore, I think I speak for a large number of the intelligent and enlightened members of the human race when I say: Pat Robertson, you sir, are a motherfucker.
I can’t stand it when people hide behind religion in order to justify hatred and intolerance. It makes me wonder why so many kind-hearted people die young, while miserable curmudgeons like this guy live to a ripe old age. Then again, that type of thing is not for me to worry about. I’m just going to continue my prayers for the people of Haiti and their loved ones, now that I’ve taken a few moments to rip ol’ Pat a new one.
