Saturday night, I went to a post-Halloween costume party, and since I didn’t feel like rocking the Jimi Hendrix costume once again, I decided to use my Black McGuyver resoursefulness and come up with a costume on the fly. The result: John BLACKenroe, Tennis Superstar!    Read the rest of this entry »

As you can clearly see, my soul was inhabited by the spirit of Jimi on Saturday night. I went to the same Halloween house party that I attend every year, and as always, I had a great time. more pictures of the ensuing mayhem and silliness are below.    Read the rest of this entry »

Who Dresses Like A Nazi for Halloween?!

October 31, 2009
This morning, I heard that the ex-girlfriend of someone I consider a friend was walking around DC dressed as a Nazi on Thursday night. This is a person who has been in my house, drank my liquor and made small talk with me on a number of occasions, so I’m feeling some kind of way about the news.
Actually, f*ck “some kind of way.” I’m pretty damn angry right now! I’m glad I wasn’t there. I’d have said something to her that would have been so hurtful she’s have wished she was getting her ass whipped by Indiana Jones like main man in the photo above, instead of getting embarrassed by me at Steve’s Bar Room in front of people.   Read the rest of this entry »

In the spirit of Halloween, here are 5 memories of horror films that scared the sh*t out of me at some point in my life. These movies themselves don’t really strike fear in my heart in 2009, but each of them is responsible for a moment that the macho, manly part of me is slightly ashamed to admit actually happened. Without further adieu, the list is below…   Read the rest of this entry »

…and they’re taller than me :(
Now you guys now know why I write a comedy blog. It’s not even Halloween yet, and I’m already befriending Papa Smurf on U Street. I almost decided against putting this up here since I was having a bad hair day, but photographic proof of the existence of Smurfs is too important of a find. Not posting it would make me worse than Vanity Smurf walking around with his mirror.

Halloween Costume: The Afro Edition

Once again, I need your help deciding what I’m going to dress up as this Halloween. Yes, I know I’m a grown-ass man. That said, I make people laugh. IT’S WHAT I DO! THAT’S MY PLEASURE! Therefore, I can go to Halloween parties wearing silly costumes until either one of two things happen:
1.) I become elderly to the point that people start believing I’m senile, and wonder if I even know I’m wearing a costume; or
2.) My ruggedly handsome looks start fading to a point where women no longer think “This guy in the costume is cute AS WELL AS funny” and start thinking “Oh Jesus! Did I bring my pepper spray?”
Since I have the curly fro going on, which I can pick out in all sorts of ridiculous ways, I need to capitalize on it. Which afro-ed individual should I dress up as at this year’s Halloween parties? Read the rest of this entry »

Once More For Michael Jackson

I’m breaking out the old Michael Jackson Halloween costume photo. Yes, I know my Thriller jacket was too small. I couldn’t even raise my arms all the way up because it was so tight. You could see my heart beating in that thing. People across the room were reading my pulse and whatnot. That thing was young as Hell!    Read the rest of this entry »
