Kanye Shrug

I think Mr. West himself would appreciate this #kanyeshrug. He might not appreciate the random-as-hell t-shirt, but it’s really all a tribute to the eccentric genius that is Kanye West.
The crazy thing is, wearing this shirt made me realize just how rabid some Kanye West fans are! I pissed off a few people the night of this party. Luckily, my family & family friends(like Ashlee above) had my back! I didn’t have to watch out for any hipster treachery from tight jeans & plaid shirt wearing men. Not that I was worried about being assaulted by any gay lumberjack looking people to begin with. Still, it’s good to know I have folks who appreciate my sense of humor, Kanye West joke or no Kanye West joke.

A Weekend Of Outbursts

Apparently, I had a better weekend than your favorite celebrity. Between Kanye West’s latest outburst at the MTV Video Music Awards and Serena Williams’ on-court tirade at the US Open, I cant say that I’ve gotten anywhere near as angry at any point on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It’s been smooth sailing for your favorite underpaid blogger, as opposed to my overpaid celebrity counterparts.
As far as Kanye West, he knows when and where to do that diva mess. He knew Taylor Swift was an easy mark, and that’s why he went for it. I’m waiting for him to slip up and interrupt the wrong pop artist one day, like one with anger management issues. You can best believe I’d pay good money to see someone slap Kanye’s sun shades into the third row of a star-studded celebrity crowd. That’s really all he needs is a dose of instant karma on live television. I bet he wouldn’t try to interrupt Serena Williams like that! Read the rest of this entry »

Drake – Best I Ever Had Video

I’m loving this video, for two reasons. The first being, the women are great! There is jiggly-bouncing from the first scene, on. The second reason is because it actually reminds me of something I wrote a few years ago about managing your Summer League team.
Yes, Drake does look like the bastard child of Jason Kidd, but the man’s mixtape is incredible. I don’t know how his studio album can top what he’s already done on So Far Gone, but I definitely expect him to move TI and Lil Wayne-like numbers if he can keep this level of buzz going.

Kanye West Paranoid Video

June 9, 2009
This is at least the 3rd or 4th time that I’ve featured a Kanye West video over here on the site. That says a lot about this guy’s creativity. As easy as Kanye makes it to make fun of his antics, people should really appreciate what he brings to music, especially in this era. Love him or hate him, he gets people talking.
Oh yeah, Rhianna looks good in this video. That’s the real reason I had to find the clip online after seeing it on 106th and Park yesterday. That, and I love the 60’s B-Movie meets “Thriller” feel of it.

“Now That’s Just Naaaaaasty”

I had no idea that The Family Guy was planning to make a spin-off starring Peter Griffin’s passive-aggressive neighbor, Cleveland. I’m pretty excited, because I always thought that his character was underutilized on the show. You never know, this could be our generation’s version of The Jeffersons. Well, The Jeffersons with a much more subdued and defeated leading man!    Read the rest of this entry »

88-Keys “Stay Up! (Viagra)” Video

88-Keys’ The Death of Adam was easily one of my favorite albums of 2008. Entertaining from beginning to end, it told the story of a fellow named Adam, his quest for the almighty vagina and the aftermath of said journey. Even though a thousand blogs already posted the video for the single “Stay Up” feat. Kanye West yesterday, I’m putting it up here today for those who may have missed it.
Clever wordplay, a great beat, dirty old men and sexy models…What more can you ask for?!
