McDonalds Goes R&B On Us

This commercial cracks me up for the mere fact that it almost sounds like a half-assed album cut from a real R&B artist, as opposed to a commercial about McNuggets. I know one thing, I would have put her fine ass out in the rain if she came to my house and couldn’t at least share one nugget with me!
This commercial reminds me of the Cheatin’ skit on Little Brother’s The Minstrel Show album. Mainly because it’s also funny due to the fact that it sounds like a formulaic R&B song.

Last Night’s Little Brother Show

Little Brother is now the unofficial music group of ListenToLeon.net. As you probably know, all Talk Shows have a house band. This site doesn’t exactly qualify as a “Talk Show” per-se…It’s actually more like a Talk Sh*t Show. Therefore, I am hereby naming Big Pooh and Phonte as the official unofficial musical section of ListenToLeon.net after last night’s performance at The Black Cat in Washington DC.
Just like the last time I saw them at Black Cat, the show was great. Between that, and the fact that I’ve been playing Zo and Tiggalo Love the 80’s to death, I’m thinking that I’ll probably go see Phonte again at the Foreign Exchange show in November.
The night’s only crazy story came when I started feeling adventurous and actually ordered food at The Black Cat. The fact that I saw the guy who made my barbecue chicken sandwich put the chips that came with it on my plate with is bare hands, wasn’t even the worst part of this story. I was starving, and my beer needed company, so I let that slide. The worst part came when I bit into the barbeque chicken sandwich, and realized that it would take a superhuman effort to chew that thing up! The sandwich was like eating a hybrid of chicken and tire rubber, smothered in barbeque sauce. That thing was tougher than 90’s era Evander Holyfield! If you ever find yourself hungry at The Black Cat, consider yourself warned!
That said, no one really goes there for the food. Folks come for the music. So on a night when Little Brother is performing, you get your money’s worth…Even if you did eat the chicken sandwich from Hell in the process!
Oh yeah, I have to shout out my friend 2-Tone Jones, who DJed the earlier in the night. Whenever you see a party invitation where he’s listed as the DJ, do yourself a favor and GO! The man is that good.
