Short Term Memory Loss

Right now, I’m struggling to memorize something. The most frustrating thing about this situation is that I know that I am completely capable of remembering what I need to. I am like a black version of Cliff Claven from Cheers, because I can recall all sorts of pointless trivia and random facts which I’ll never need unless Jeopardy comes calling one day.
