In an era where words like “hero” are overused, Newark, NJ Mayor Corey Booker is a true example of one. Aside from his already impressive political accomplishments, the man ran into a burning building and rescued His neighbor. Part or me thinks that I would have done the same thing in that situation. The other part thinks that I would have been like “WHOA! It looks kinda hot in there! Let me see what I can do to help from across the street…”
It’s refreshing to see stories like this when everything else on the news is negative. It’s crazy because I have been following Mayor Booker on Twitter since last year due to the fact that he seemed like a class act, and he makes very effective use of social media. It’s good to see that he is indeed a caring and selfless individual. Corey Booker, my hat goes off to you.
